BOSTON, MA - Boston Police Evidence Fabrication leads to dismissal of Boston Anti-Vax & Anti-Mandates Protestor’s Criminal Charges
Catherine Vitale of Dorchester was arrested in front of the Boston City Hall on April 13, 2022 with charges of “Disturbing the Peace” and “Assault and Battery on a Police Officer”, both of which were dismissed due to “lack of probable cause, for violation of integrity of her probable cause hearing, and for selective prosecution from the Suffolk County DA’s Office in retaliation for protected expression” this week.
There’s ample video evidence of the BPD officer Bruce Kwong assaulting Vitale, including ripping her megaphone out of her hands as well as dragging her by her neck lanyard, and another Officer physically throwing Vitale out of the City Hall.
Since Boston Mayor Michelle Wu took office in November 2021, there’s been an unprecedented public outrage against many of her policies, including medical mandates in direct violation of bodily autonomy, and Wu’s new city ordinance banning targeted residential picketing before 9am in violation of the 1st Amendment.

This ordinance has been used as an instrument of intimidation and harassment against Wu’s diverse protestor base, with protestors being threatened with arrests and arrested instead of being fined per the new ordinance verbiage. Protestors have been vocal about this cooperative action between Wu administration and Boston Police Department representing abuse of power and persecution of the 1st Amendment.
Catherine Vitale is part of WeThePeopleOfMA.org - a group of concerned citizens who have been vocal about the devastating effects of COVID19 lockdowns, medical mandates and anti First Amendment policies in the city of Boston and the state of Massachusetts at large.
