Hey, Newtonians, Did You Know?!

Two days ago on May 28, 2024 Newton Zoning and Planning Committee (ZAP) “approved the proposed ordinances for the mandatory electrification ordinances of all new construction and substantial renovation in Newton (residential and commercial) and will be sending it to the full Council for approval.”
ARTICLE VI. FOSSIL FUEL-FREE ORDINANCE Sec. 5-59.
Regulation of use of Fossil Fuels in New Construction and Major Renovation Projects. (a) Purpose: The city adopts this ordinance in order to enable the city to participate in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Fossil Fuel-Free Demonstration Project, 225 CMR 24.00.
The purpose of the Fossil Fuel-Free Demonstration Project is to restrict and prohibit new building construction and Major Renovation Projects that are not fossil fuel-free in ten communities in Massachusetts. This ordinance will protect the health and welfare of the city’s inhabitants and the environment by reducing greenhouse gases, which cause climate change, and by reducing other air pollutants.
This ordinance requires new construction and Major Renovation Projects to use electricity instead of fossil fuels for heating and cooling systems and cooking and clothes drying appliances; and, for hot water, to use either electricity or thermal solar.

Most Newton residents who are probably too busy with work and family matters are likely blissfully unaware of Newton Mayor’s office and City Council members engaging in a massive misuse of City’s resources on the “climate agenda”.
With no public discourse on the horizon, it’s in these obscure ZAP meetings that most Newton residents have never attended, that a small group of people decide on ridiculous proposal like “MANDATORY electrification” for new construction and substantial renovations based on pseudo science and utter lack of respect for Newtonians’ rights to decide what heating system or stove type they’d like to live with.
Newton residents need to start paying attention and showing up in large numbers to these meetings to voice their positions, but even more importantly Newton residents should choose a platform / platforms for true OPEN DISCOURSE on matters of importance to the city, whether it’s at a local library, local park or other venues, where Newtonians can talk to each other as neighbors, weigh the pros and cons of different ideas and related costs, exchange pointers on relevant research materials and formulate their positions on various matters City Council votes and Mayor signs of on.
Simply put, climate change agenda is based on the false premise of CO2 causing rise in global temperatures and subsequent extreme weather patterns. This is a factually incorrect, and extremely dangerous notion. The more CO2 the more plant growth, the more oxygen and biodiversity. CO2 = LIFE. This is basic science that we are asked to ignore, and that’s a massive red flag even if you haven’t done any additional research on the falsehoods sold under the “greater good” of the climate agenda .
What we should be talking about and writing up ordinances on are poisons that human beings, animals, plants and environment at large are exposed to through geo-engineering, agricultural herbicides, toxic waste dumps, and neurotoxic water treatment methods like water fluoridation to name a few.

What Newtonians should also research and understand is the fact that all “climate change” initiatives are part of a malicious agenda known as Agenda 21, which is rapidly advancing over the last several decades on a global scale. “Climate change” is the trojan horse of the #Agenda21. Here’s the late Rosa Koire from DemocratsAgainstUNAgenda21.com breaking down Agenda 21 goals and methods of implementation. Everyone deserves INFORMED CONSENT.
Please make sure to take the time to Learn + Discuss + Spread The Word + Help Stop the fake climate agenda, and direct our City’s resources to things that would actually direct our hard earned tax dollars towards making it a better place to live for generations to come.
This applies to cities and towns around the country and the world. Agenda 21 is a global agenda.
Behind the Green Agenda ... scenarios of "Sustainable Future"
Green New Deal is a key component of what’s generally referred to as Agenda 21 - agenda for the 21st century, including its interim milestones Agenda 2030 and Vision 2050. While feel-good words terms like “justice” are thrown around by opportunistic political actors as in “climate justice” or “social justice”, the real cost and implications of related “…
Thank you for the article. Very informative.
Isn’t this illegal, that the mayor did not notify her constituents
This is not a democracy
